What do you do if your client's expectations during contract negotiation are influenced by emotions?
In any negotiation, recognizing the role of emotions is vital. Your client may have personal investments or emotional ties to the outcomes, which can cloud their judgment. It's our job to acknowledge these feelings and validate their emotions without letting them steer the negotiation off course. By demonstrating empathy and acknowledging that it's okay to take a break from the negotiating table if emotions rise, you create a supportive environment that can lead to more rational decision-making.
