Rest In Peace: Jason Bonnin

I just want to take a quick moment to say that Jason Bonnin was a good-hearted, smart guy I met at Texas State in San Marcos. He always took a moment to listen to what I had to say even when he knew that we would disagree in our political/philosophical views. He took college seriously, but was able to balance his work with having fun.

RIP Jason... friend, financier, good man.

  1. Thanks, JT, for your kind words about my nephew, Jason. He was one of our favorite guys and we'll miss him.

  2. I to will miss my Pal Jason Bonnin.
It was Thursday in Derrick hall when I last talked to him as he went to work. I would have said more if I would have known it was the last. I just had spent the last 2 classes right next to my fallen pal but failed to realize that he wouldn’t be there on Tuesday to do it all again. I will miss playing golf, studying together and all the stuff we take for granted. He was a joy in our capstone and treasury group that I will never forget. I cant believe we where all fixing to graduate and begin the next step in our lives. I can only say I had the pleasure of spending almost three hours with him on Thursday and regret it being the last. Tomorrow will be one of the hardest days of my life for the seat for 2 classes will be as empty as my heart.
My sympathies are with the family now.

  3. Thank you all for you care and thoughtfulness. Please just remember that Jason is the winner in this horrible situation, in that he is utterly contented and in complete joy with the Lord. It gives us great comfort to know that Jason had so many wonderful friends.
